Adina DeRoy-Stouffer is a Pittsburgh native and graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. She has continued the family tradition in the jewelry industry, designing and selling jewelry for the past ten years. Ms. DeRoy-Stouffer studied jewelry design in Italy. She sells her jewelry internationally through the Internet.

Of her favorite things, Adina loves teaching. She is an instructor at nationally accredited art schools such as The Pittsburgh Center for the Arts, and Sweetwater Center for the Arts. She also enjoys teaching wire jewelry classes at many local bead shops and hosting community workshops in her area.

Last year, when the rising cost of silver nearly put me out of the jewelry business, I began exploring alternative materials. I have enjoyed the wonderful creativity that working in found objects can only provide! I discovered the endless possibilities of working with copper pipe, roof flashing and other builder’s materials. Many of these are purchased new, while I try to make at least half of my pieces using scrap or discarded construction materials. Below are three rings made of copper pipe, accented with sterling silver scraps.
